We're Moving...

So, I started getting fed up with this blog website. It's really simple, which is fantastic for a first time blogger, but it can also be very frustrating. I'm gonna try a different site, so hopefully you'll follow me over.

See you there. :)

Happy Thursday

Not too much going on here. This was my first week back to work since mid-December. It was definitely nice to be off and so hard to be back. Oh well...gotta bring home the bacon. lol.

The break was nice. We visited Scratch's family for Christmas in Wisconsin. I know...crazy, huh? You're probably thinking who in their right mind goes from AZ to WI in the winter? Well, I LOVE the snow. Probably because I've never lived in it. I didn't even mind having to take Bella outside every 3 hours and bundling up every time to do so. We spend 4 days with his family, which was really nice. Then we went south to visit my family in Chicago. That was a great time too. Hopefully, both our parents will move down to AZ in the near future. We would love to have them here when we have kids (aka free babysitters :D).

Once we got back into town, we didn't really do much. Just relaxed before having to go back to work. Most of the week, I was sick in bed, which sucked but I did do a couple fun things. My good friend J had a birthday get together at The Shout House in Glendale. I can't tell you how much I love piano bars. I mean, think about it...everyone has to sing (at the top of your lungs no less), you don't have to sing well since you're drowned out by other people and the piano, and there's food and alcohol. What could be better? Of course, I didn't take advantage of the alcohol, but the food was good. Scratch and I also had a date night. We went to Olive Garden for dinner (thank you grandma for the gift certificate) and then went to the movies and saw Sherlock Holmes. It was actually a really good movie. Plus, I love Rachel McAdams. Bonus!

I have been busy working on my 101 goals, so be on the lookout for my update soon. I can't remember right now if I've completed anything new...but I have kicked off a lot of stuff.
I'll post soon...now work is calling. :)

"Boot Scootin' Boogie"

-Ok, so I was going to post a video to go along with this post, but the video is HUGE and it won't upload. I think I'm going to have to upload it to youtube then post the link. Anyway, ,I still wanted to get this post up on the blog...so here it is (sans video). :)

Our good friends, A and M are getting married in May. Yay for them! About a month ago now (wow...time has definitely flown by), they had an engagement party. It was held in the Wild Wild West. :) It was actually really neat. The party was in this dirt lot in the far east...past Fort McDowell Casino (yes I do use this as a point of reference and yes I assume everyone is as casino crazy as me :P), but not quite to the Salt River. In this dirt lot, there was a Wild West set-up. Apparently it's always there for people in the neighborhood to use as a party site. It has several buildings, such as a saloon, jail, etc...that look exactly the way they do at Rawhide. A huge bonfire went all night, people sang to karaoke, and 3 kegs were provided. Holy geez! 3 KEGS...the more crazy thing is I think they actually finished them all.

Anyway it was a really good time and they are a really awesome couple and I can't wait to join in all the wedding festivities yet to come. Did I mention that I love bridal shower games. :D?

Below are some pictures...and in one of them, I think you can see the store fronts in the background.

If you thought that was the end of my post...you are in for an awesome surprise. :) 3 of my girlfriends and I decided to put together a performance, if you will. It was for the honored couple and it was so much fun. Our men, of course, were a little embarrassed and tried to claim that they came stag to the party...but the crowd was loving us...so I think it was all worth it. I'll upload the video to youtube and post the link soon. :)

A.S.U.! A.S.U.!

I know, I know I posted about our AMAZING day of tailgating a while back, but this time I've got pictures. See here for a more detailed explanation of the day.

I'm back...Are you SO excited?!

So, I'm kinda irritated because this is actually the 2nd time I'll be writing this post. The first time it didn't save. What kind of crap is that? I mean I spent about an hour updating all (3) of you about my vacation, all the while the "draft autsaved" message at the bottom was reassuring me that all my hard work was saved...then I refresh the page..and poof it's gone. It was heartbreaking and discouraging, hence I procrastinated doing it again...until now. However, my previous post was going to be all one post. Since that worked SO WELL (denote the sarcasm), I plan to break each topic into a new post. That way I can save them and publish them more frequently.

So, I'll start by apologizing that I've been MIA. Turns out I've been super busy over the holiday season. Who'd have thought that? Definitely not me. But I'm back now and unfortunately, back to work tomorrow. After 3 weeks off...it's gonna be tough. I hope I remember what my passwords are, otherwise the first 3 hours of the day will be spent on the phone with helpdesk (our IT dept). Not very productive. But seriously, is the first day back after 3 weeks really supposed to be productive? I guess I'll find out soon. :(

Checking in

Sorry I've been slacking on the blogs. Got some fun things to talk about, but not enough time to do it. Dang holidays!

I promise that I will get back on the blog wagon...maybe this week. Most likely next week. My last day of work is this Friday (woo woo!!). Then I don't come back til the 11th of January. WOW!! What will I do with all my time?! We'll visit parents and in-laws, maybe a Vegas trip, lots of reading...maybe even some baking. Sounds fun, huh?!?!

When I have more time, I will tell you about our friends' engagement party we went to last weekend. So cute and so fun! Plus...an awesome video to go with it.

For now, I'll leave you with my favorite wedding picture. Awwww! :D

They're here...

Here are the videos that I've been slacking on posting.

The first video is Scratch attempting to walk on water. He's not successful! Although, later in the week he did try again and his top half made it to the other side of the pool..so I was fairly impressed.

This video is on our ride to Mystic Mountain. Our driver was serenading us with Bob Marley.

This next video is at Mystic Mountain...we had to ride the "Sky Explorer" (aka ski lift) up to the top of the mountain. Scratch was filming, while I was holding on to the safety bar for dear life.

The last 2 videos are of us zip lining. The first is Scratch filming me....I kept turning around, therefore zip lining backwards. So scary! The second is Scratch filming as he zip lined. Kinda shaky, but it's pretty close to what you actually see.

Have fun watching!
